The center pipe is the structural backbone of a radial flow reactor. As a critical component of reactor internals, it is engineered to ensure uniform catalyst utilization, optimal flow distribution, and long?term operational reliability in the harshest refining environments.

Function & Design

In a radial flow reactor, process fluid enters the vessel and is directed down the annulus between the reactor wall and the outer basket. The fluid then passes horizontally through the catalyst bed and exits through the center pipe. Our center pipes are designed to provide:

• Uniform Flow Distribution: Precision?engineered slots or wedge wire screens ensure an even pressure drop across the entire length of the reactor, preventing channeling and hot spots.
• Catalyst Retention: The precise gap openings are designed to contain the catalyst media while allowing maximum flow through of the process gas or liquid.
• Thermal Stability: Constructed to withstand extreme temperatures and thermal cycling without warping or compromising structural integrity.
